Mirror Mirror

The Concept of Beauty

"Mirror Mirror on the Wall, who's the most beautiful of them all?"

This is a line spoken by the Queen in the children's fairy tale "Snow White"

The Queen most likely, was once the most beautiful woman in the kingdom; expected only to hear the Mirror confirm that fact.

To the Queen's dismay The Mirror had exchanged her beauty for that of Snow White's He pulled down the Queen's Beauty position replacing it with that of her Snow White's.

Immediately, jealousy reared it's ugly head, causing the Queen to begin her all consuming quest of getting rid of innocent Snow White.Set in today's age that Mirror would very well become television, magazines, inteet and the modeling agencies behind them.

Beauty is not so much a look as it is an action. For if beauty was a look then the same model would be Queen of television, magazines, and inteet forever and only to be replaced with a clone of Queen Model.

In my time it was Farrah Fawcett and Bo Derek at the top of the list. Many women copied just about everything about them. From hairstyle to toenail polish women all across America, wanted to mimic these two Super Models.

What is wrong with copying a style or look you admire, not anything as long as you don't allow it to all consume you to the point that you too, are drastically changing your physical looks every time the Mirror says "This is NOW what we call beauty."

Beauty is not a look but an action. The simple act of carrying yourself in a wonderful way can make you feel beautiful.

Here is another action you can practice in your quest of beauty.

At least once a day look into a mirror place a decisive smile on your face and say very simply:

"Beautiful!" and know, that no matter how you feel you are describing yourself! Over a period of time not only will you begin to feel beautiful. You will also ,begin to see things about your physical self in a much better light and begin to compliment yourself.

In transition as you will you feel more beautiful. You will hold your head higher and have a more graceful walk. Don't think others won't notice, they will!

I wrote this article especially for Body By Baby EZine Subscribers, because the concept of beauty is often lost to women who have became mothers.

Bringing forth a brand NEW LIFE is usually accompanied by extra weight. We as a society must embrace the childbearing body before, during and after pregnancy.

If I may boldly borrow from the Ezine. The body that encompass and nourish a child should be "Treasured as a One of a Kind Work of Art. Sculptured not by hands but by the delicate development of new life!"

I want to apologize to all women who has NOT felt beautiful due to media's concept of beauty. No one or no thing should ever make a person feel that they are lacking in any area of self worth, for the BIBLE says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made!

The next time you look into a Mirror don't ASK it if you're beautiful! TELL IT YOUR'RE BEAUTIFUL!

I ll Believe It When I See It

I was working with this guy who wanted to live his lifes purpose. He wanted to be a singer but was presently working as a mail clerk at a law firm. He didnt make much money on this job and he had a lot of beliefs that let me know, right from the start, that he was going to be a challenge.

He was very close-minded.

Generally, as a rule, I dont like to work with people who are closed-minded and have a hard time believing in themselves. But he was different. Not that he wasnt closed-minded, but the thing was that he was very talented. I once over heard him singing and couldnt believe the incredible voice he had and so I approached him and asked him if he had any music on CD that I could purchase and listen to. He smiled and said that he didnt actually sing. (He could have fooled me.) It was just something that he liked to do. He felt he had a nice voice, but he wasnt doing anything with his voice, other than singing whenever the feeling hit him. Most of the time he sang in the shower where no one could hear him except himself--and perhaps his upstairs or downstairs neighbors in his building.

I was saddened by this confession. I am one who believes that when God gives us a talent or a gift, we are not suppose to hide it under a bushel but share it with the world.

I told him I was a coach and that I help people discover and live their lifes purpose. I believed we had already discovered his gifthis voice. But I was willing to help him live his lifes purpose by showing him ways that he could make a living with his voice.

He laughed at me originally, and told me that singing wasnt a real career. He said that although there were people making money with their voice, he didnt believe he could do it. He wasnt happy working as a mail clerk, but he did make enough money to pay his bills although he always seemed to be struggling to make it from one paycheck to the other.

I met with him one day and gave him a breakdown of exactly what he could do to begin making money with his beautiful voice. He was excited. He took my information and promised to keep me informed.

Weeks passed and I hadnt heard anything from him so I called him to find out how he was doing with his new career as a singer. A little embarrassed he told me that he hadnt done anything that I had suggested. Without any real explanation, he just sort of said that he didnt believe that others would like his voice and didnt think he could really make any money singing.

I walked away that day feeling a little defeated. I know in my heart of hearts, that this young man has an exceptional talent that God didnt give to him to keep to himself. I felt so strongly about this that, and knowing his financial situation, I offered to coach him for free. But he declined the offer, stating that I would be wasting my time because he just couldnt see himself as a singer or having the belief that anyone would pay him money to sing.

This is the problem that most people havethey have a hard time believing that anyone would pay them for their talents or their gifts. They simply cant visualize it happening. When others comment on their talent, they become embarrassed and doubt themselves even more. They walk around believing that no one would be interested in their talent. They wont believe it unless they see it happening. They stick by their belief that they will believe it when they see it.

The truth of the matter is, it works the total opposite of that. Instead of believing it when you see it, you must see it FIRST and believe it, before it manifests into your life.

All this young man had to do to get out of his present situation and get into the situation of his dreams is to dream. Visualize his dreams. See them happening as if they have already happened. See it. And then, believe, with all his heart that it WILL happen. Believe it. And it will happen.

I guess seeing is believingeven if you are not seeing it in your every day life situation. But the magic of manifesting your dreams is seeing with your third eye, and God will manifest your desires right before your eyes.

ACTION POINT: Ive stated many times that you should visualize yourself living the life that you desire to live. But dont just visualize it, BELIEVE IT. Believe that you CAN live that life and you WILL live that life. Its as simple as that. Whatever you ask for and believe, it shall be given unto you.

Isn t It Time to Give Yourself Permission

Remember back in school days when you needed a permission slip to do almost anything outside of the classroom? Things like simply being able to visit the washroom, attend a sports meeting or going on a field trip? As adults we don't need someone to give us a permission slip. We already have a whole supply at our disposal.

Now the trick here is to remember to use them.

Sounds simple right? Well, I have to tell you it's not always that simple. Actually I'm quite sure most of you haven't even thought about giving yourself permission to do much of anything lately, let alone permission to have some fun. Am I right?

Remember that there are some old beliefs that probably crop up when you are tempted to give yourself permission to do something, change something about yourself or ask for something.

Here's a list of some of those beliefs that show up and cause us to deny ourselves permission.

What will people think?

I'm sure I can't afford to do that

I don't really deserve this

I'm afriad

I'll be considered selfish

What if I fail?

What if I'm successful?

That's way outside my comfort zone

Let me share with you an example from my own life experience.

About 8 months ago I was attending a womens networking seminar and while I was there, I met up with Carol, a Personal Fitness Trainer. She was so interesting to chat with and I was really enjoying our conversation until she suggested that I come out to the gym and experience working out.

Oh boy, that was definitely something I never gave myself permission to do. Actually, that was one area that I was way out of my comfort zone because physical fitness has always been a big challenge for me. I just knew that I would feel uncomfortable working out in a gym.

But I have to tell you, I decided to put myself out there and took her up on her offer. And after three weeks of consistent training, I started to feel very comfortable. In fact, I felt extremely comfortable, energetic and especially proud of myself. It was great!

Now after 8 months of working out I am really seeing the benefits and am so happy that I took the chance and gave myself permission to step outside my comfort zone.

Here's some permission slip ideas you might want to incorporate into your own life.

Permission to do something that pleases YOU. (Yes, that's right, something that pleases you, how wicked!)

Permission to say no. (Not always easy to do but WOW, the benefits are tremendous.)

Premission to take an occasional day off from whatever it is you do. (And remember, stop checking those emails.)

Premission to check your emails. (Ok, ok, I'm guilty of this one too.)

Premission to become that fearless person you have always wanted to be. (This is BIG but so worth developing.)

So the moral of this information is that YOU are the only one who can sign your own permission slips.

What will they be? Will you give yourself permission to have some fun days, take a day off and enjoy it with a friend, give yourself permission to have a day with no interruptions, a day to kick back and just read?

All of these are possible, you just need to develop the skill and use it!

Letting Go and Trusting The Universe

One of the most important things in Wealth Creation is not so much in cracking our head trying to come up with the next million dollar idea or get rich quick scheme.

The most important thing which is one of the greatest obstacle for most people is Letting Go.

Human beings have been conditioned in such a way that they think they have to figure out everything themselves.

For example, most people believe that in order to become rich or ea more money, you have to work hard.

To some extent, putting our committment and dedication into our job is important, but that is a difference between enjoying what we do and 'working hard'.

If you do something you like, then literally there is no issue of 'hard'.

Secondly, the Universe is Abundant. A lot of people have problems accepting and understanding that.

Most people have a mindset of Lack and Scarcity. I was a victim myself, until I discovered about Abundance from the Wealth Beyond Reason program.

It could be the past programming from our Ancestors, when as caveman we had to hunt and fight for food. Certain factors and behaviours have not changed even despite the progress, development and modeization humankind has gone throught.

Things such as greed, fear, will always remain no matter how the world change.

Anyway, coming back to the Wealth Beyond Program, it has really helped me changed and shift my beliefs around Wealth Creation, opening up my mind and soul to the concept of Abundance, and introducing me to the powerful Universal law, the Law of Attraction.

To conclude, creating wealth is not so much in working harder but rather, to remove the barriers and resistance within us so that we can RECEIVE what we asked for to come.

What we desire can be manifested in many ways, even though our mind and brain might not be able to come up with anything or only a few ways. The Universe, after all, is Abundant.

Find Your Purpose and Hit the Jackpot

A depressed young man asked a great saint: I always feel tired and restless. I dont know why I am in this world. Can you solve my problem? The saint replied: Actually you still have to discover your purpose. As soon as you discover it your tiredness and restlessness will transform into a dynamic positive energy. Then the saint gave him a valuable piece of advice: For one month go to the people, talk to them, observe their life and their needs. You may get a new light that will take you to your true destiny. The young man indeed found that light, his true purpose to fight for the betterment of the people of his country, and his personality transformed into an invincible force. The young man was Julius Caesar the greatest Roman king.

THE SECRET BEHIND MAN'S PROGRESS

Men become great only when they are fired with a great purpose. Animals havent progressed or civilised because the ability of their mind is limited and they are unable to have a purpose. Even most of human beings live their life in the similar manner. Human civilisation, progress and wonderful inventions have been possible due to the men having strong purpose. A large number of human race feel a kind of fog or cloud between them and their mind. They are unable to see through it and discover their purpose of living. Here lies one more secret behind phenomenal success of some persons.

Try to observe some successful people, organisation or business houses. You will see one common and remarkable trait in them. All of them have some purpose. All successful people feel that they have taken birth to achieve something worthwhile in life and they are working hard to do that. If you want to get more than moderate success your first and foremost goal should be to discover your purpose.

MAGIC OF PURPOSE

Great painter Grandma Moses (Anna Mary Robertson) was 76 and purposeless, and heading towards a painful death. Six doctors declared that her severe arthritis would leave her fingers forever bent & crippled and she would have to depend on others for every work. Fortunately for her the 7th doctor was able to understand her psychology and suggested her to draw or paint. She laughed at the suggestion as she had never held a paint brush in her life. And now her hands and fingers were not in the position to do it. The doctor knew it was her last hope to live a better and satisfied life thus he stressed upon his suggestion and advised her to give it several tries. Astonishingly the idea clicked with her psychology because she had at last found her real purpose in life. Between the age of 76 and 94 she painted a huge number, six hundred, of paintings - most of them masterpieces. She enjoyed a new zest in life and a better health too. Even at 94 there was no retirement for her. She painted 400 more wonderful creations (including her famous The Night Before Christmas) till she was 100 - really astonishing. So this is the magic of finding a purpose in life.

AMBANI BECAME THE BIGGEST

One of the greatest Indian Businessmen Dhirubhai Ambani struggled hard and did many odd jobs for several years till he found his purpose. After matriculation he was doing different odd jobs to ea his pocket money when his elder brother called him to Aden and helped him to get job in Burmah Shell as petrol attendant (filling petrol in the vehicles) in 1953. He worked in this company for five years. Now working in the company became extremely restless for the youngman as he had found his real purpose in life: to build his own business empire with mode business methods. He resigned from the company and came to Mumbai. Although he had not much money but he had a will to work hard and a determination to fulfil his dream. The village boy of a poor family was soon on his way to explode over Indian business world like a volcano and become the greatest first generation businessman of India - his brainchild Reliance Industries leaped forward at a mind-boggling speed. How to Find Your Purpose

Many persons find their purpose naturally and suddenly and proceed towards it with complete dedication. In some cases real purpose of ones life is not found even for several years. To progress in life faster you need to know your purpose as early as possible. Well-thought answers of the following questions may help you to find your real purpose in life. Write your answers in a diary or in your file in the computer.

1. Which work do you enjoy passionately?

2. What do you dream most of the times?

3. What do you like to do in your free time?

4. Which work can you do without tiring?

5. Are you crazy to do something? Whats that?

6. What are your qualities?

7. What is your unique talent in your opinion?

8. What do you mostly dream while sleeping at night?

9. Which work makes you enthusiastic?

10.Write three works that you would like to do before dying.

11. If you have only 24 hours to live what would you like to do?

12. If God gives you Rs.100/- crore how would you spend it?

After writing the answers of all these questions your main purpose will start sparkling in front of your eyes. As soon as you discover your purpose in life a magic happens. You start to enjoy life more. You are ready to sacrifice anything, ready to do anything to achieve your goal. Soon your life gets wonderful transformation. Your stamina and mental powers suddenly become stronger. Working, eating, sleeping, walking, travelling there is always one thing on your mind - what to do to fulfil your purpose.

A PURPOSE CAN BE DISCOVERED AT ANY AGE

Example of Grandma Moses shows that true purpose of ones life can be found at any age. Many persons find their purpose at a very young age, and many on the onset of old age. Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft and the richest person of the world at present found his purpose (to bring a revolution in IT) at a very young age. His immense passion for his purpose made him immensely successful. Dhirubhai Ambani also found it when he was young. Great Indian emperor Chandra Gupta Maurya, when he was still young and a vagabond, teamed up with a middle-aged Brahmin Chanakya to build one of the biggest political empires in Asia.

Harlan Sanders had struggled his whole life to become big and had reached the age of retirement when he suddenly discovered his real purpose in life. At last he had come up with an idea and he wanted some financers to back it up. He determinedly travelled all across the USA in his search for the people who could back him. He made one of the biggest records of rejection in the history when a thousand and nine people tued him down. They laughed at his idea. After four and half years Harlan Sanders was able to arrange enough money to open his first Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet which was to become one of the biggest restaurant chains. Ray Crock found his purpose only when he was 55 and still a salesman. He was about to reach at the end of his career. Then like the hit of a lightning his found his purpose and in next ten years he became a billionaire by establishing a large network of McDonalds.

If your work is not suitable to your talent or your psychological structure you may often feel unhappy or confused. When you live with a purpose you are able to live a healthy, enthusiastic and a very fulfilling life. You are also surrounded by a unique aura which gives a magic touch to your personality. Orison Swett Marden said Theres no grander sight in the world than that of a person fired with a great purpose, dominated by one unwavering aim. As soon as you find your true purpose in your life you hit the jackpot.

Eat Humble Pie mmm Delicious

Enough about you, lets get to me! How many times have you heard that tune playing in your own head? Being in front, first and recognized is highly encouraged in our society. We place more value on humiliation than humility, because we think standing out is better than staying within. Just watch a few minutes of any reality show, and youll see how easily people volunteer to trade public humiliation for fifteen minutes of fame. Oh...those poor bachelorettes who get that single rose and the boot!

Between my first and second book, I had a rough timeemotionally, physically and financially. I had yet to be recognized nationally for my work (Oprah wasnt calling!), my husband was in between careers, and a back injury prevented me from writing. One day I was caught in a traffic jam on my way to an appointment in San Francisco. I got increasingly frustrated sitting there as my mind started replaying all my problems. By the time I got into the city, I was depressed about my career and my life. I kept thinking about poor little me.

As I drove through the city, I saw the familiar sight of street beggars at each intersection. Most of them were mensome sitting on cardboard boxes, some with signs asking for money. One after the other, I passed them without stopping to give them anything. There was a mantra I grew up with in New York about the homeless that goes something like this: Dont give to beggars on the streets. Theyll only buy alcohol or drugs with the money.

As I got to the end of a long line of intersections, I stopped at a red light and noticed a young woman a few feet in front of me begging at the coer. She couldnt have been more than eighteen years old with long straggly dirty blond hair, a petite chiseled face and piercing light blue eyes. I could see the outline of her ribs through her mismatched ragged clothes that hung from her emaciated body. Her bony arms were wrapped around a cardboard sign that said, Please help. I need food and money. The driver in front of me handed her a can of soda, and I watched while she strained a smile to thank him, as if her face muscles could barely command the skin to move. I quickly started rummaging through my purse, hoping the light wouldnt change and cause the drivers behind me to start honking their hos. I whipped out a $5.00 bill and gently handed it to her, smiled and wished her a good day. She said thanks and continued walking to approach the car behind me. I immediately wanted to give her more, but traffic had moved on, and I was already on my way. Driving back through that same intersection later that day, I looked for her. She was gone. She was one of thousands of women who live on the streets, some with their children. That day was certainly a reminder to me that life was about a lot more than just me and my own little problems.

When we think about humility, we think about the charity and unselfishness of someone like Mother Teresa. A woman who devoted her life to the poorest of the poor, opened missionary houses all over the world, and never once boasted about winning the Nobel Peace Prize! But, humility has two sides. To me, the homeless woman on the street coer was overflowing with humility. She sought the light in others, without realizing it was actually her own light that attracted them to her. She was a humble Goddess.

5 Ways to Eat Humble Pie:

Know that as soon as you think youre humble, youre not.

Imagine yourself living someone elses life, less fortunate than you.

Let others shine, and be happy for their success.

Opening give others credit when they deserve it

Spend more time listening to what others have to say, than talking about yourself.

Create Your Ideal Lifestyle

Lifestyle reflects our beliefs, attitudes, customs, behaviors, and values. A lifestyle can fill us with joy, keep us healthy, and allow us to become more successful. It can also contribute to illness or hold us back from the things we are capable of accomplishing.

Fortunately, we can choose actions and habits that keep us happy, healthy, and successful. We have that choice daily.

Maltbie Babcock summarized this very elegantly when she wrote, "A day dawns, quite like other days; in it, a single hour comes, quite like other hours; but in that day and in that hour the chance of a lifetime faces us."

That chance, however, presents a challenge. A familiar lifestyle is not easy to leave behind, even when negative habits or tolerations make it uncomfortable. Doug Firebaugh wisely said, "Something must die in order to grow - your old habits, your old self image, your old thinking, your old life... must be weeded out for the seeds of success to grow."

People want to be free from the consequences of their vices, but not necessarily from their vices. Many attempt changes that are too large to be realistic. Others try to change too many things at once. Old behaviors creep back very quickly.

For example, if it would burden you to carry out a new action on a regular basis, it is probably not a realistic change. Smaller changes carried out regularly more often lead to lasting change. Begin with one new action that can become a regular lifestyle behavior. Then look for tangible results from that change.

If you are not already living your ideal lifestyle, take time to think deeply about the following questions. Then write your answers in a joual. This exercise will help you create a clear picture of your ideal lifestyle. It will also help you to design a plan to begin creating the lifestyle that you want.

What is my current lifestyle?

How have my beliefs created that lifestyle?

What is my current lifestyle costing me?

If my lifestyle were to become ideal, what differences would I notice immediately in the major areas of my life?

For example, what would you be doing differently on a daily basis? What habits would you adopt, and what habits would you discard? Consider the changes you would notice in these areas:

  • Relationships (Family and Career)
  • Home environment
  • Wellness and self-care
  • Energy level
  • Serenity and inner stillness
  • Finances
  • Rest and relaxation
  • Temperament
  • Happiness and contentment
How would I look and feel most of the time if I lived my ideal lifestyle?

What tolerations, habits of thought, and actions are limiting me from living my ideal lifestyle?

What would it require of me to remove those limitations?

What is the first thing in my current lifestyle that I would truly like to change or improve?

Am I willing to commit to the necessary changes in thought and action to live my ideal lifestyle, and if so, when will I begin to make the first change?

How will I feel when I have adopted new habits of thought and action?

What is one positive change I could comfortably make today?

This exercise will open your mind to the possibilities and options available to you for positive change. When you have a clear picture of your goal and the changes needed, you can begin moving forward toward a lifestyle that will bring you more success in all the important areas of your life.

These questions might lead to additional questions you will need to answer. You will need to evaluate your progress on a regular basis, make changes in your initial plan, and adjust your actions accordingly. Get Ready to Attract i cise

When you think of exercise, what do you see as the ultimate goal? The ability to reach the desired weight, train for the desired event, or condition the body are all things that one may set out to do with exercise. In short, exercise is frequently used for the purpose of making the body perform at its most optimum level. Well the attraction principles are quite similar in that they help condition the mind, body, and spirit to vibrate at an optimum level to produce all that you truly desire.

Lea Attract-i-cise for the mind to achieve positive thoughts and shed negativity. No success is ever insignificant. If you've accomplished it, be proud and use it as a rung on a ladder to help you climb higher and higher towards your success. Become the magnet for all of the positive things that can and will occur when you've mastered the art of focusing on the desired outcome and not the obstacles that have, are, or can occur - if you allow it.

Attract-i-cise for the body because the body is truly our temple, and is typically last in line to be worshipped. If you're feeling tired, run down, or have been plagued with illness, I'm sure you can relate. Lea to nourish the body with rest, exercise, relaxation, and/or supplements if needed. It's difficult to be vibrating positive thoughts when you aren't feeling well, or you're waiting for the next wave of illness to occur. The better you feel, the better you'll continue to feel as the body becomes conditioned to operating in top form and you attract more of what you are radiating.

The spirit can always use a bit of toning up through Attract-i-cise. It is so easy to allow emotions to control everyday life. But it is when emotions are controlled that ultimate happiness can be achieved. Isn't it easier to determine the best course of action when the dilemma is approached with a clear head, a calm voice, and an open mind? How often have you thought, 'my goodness, did I really say that?' when in the heat of the moment? Unfortunately today's society is comprised of masses of people who have not leaed to Attract-i-cise their spirit, by not allowing themselves to get lost when caught up in the moment. Maintaining calmness, accepting what is showing up, and leaing to neutralize anger can all have a pretty amazing effect on achieving desired goals with fewer obstacles and tamer interactions. Can you say win-win?

Collette had spent the majority of her years since college looking at the things she had not accomplished and wondering why. While spending yet another Saturday evening alone, Collette began reading through her high school jouals. After a few entries she realized that she had really liked the girl that exuded warmth, vitality, and unlimited potential. She sat down and began to think back to when the light within her began to dim. It had occurred right after college graduation. She had pursued a degree in Education, but there were no jobs when she graduated so she took a clerical job until something opened up, and never went back to teaching.

As Collette allowed herself to relive some of her past experiences through her joual entries, she began to feel some of that old hope begin to ignite within her. She recalled the accomplishments that she had been so proud of, the projects that she had created for her students while student-teaching, and the joy that had come when she witnessed leaing through the eyes of a student. That night Collette made a promise to herself to read all of her high school and college joual entries, and to make a real effort to recapture her lost spirit. Through her jouals she began the process of Attract-i-cising with her mind and her spirit.

Collette is not alone. Too often life gets in the way and blocks the path to positive attraction and vibration. Despite that, it's never too late to shed the cloak of negativity, something that Collette leaed by revisiting her past. This is the time of year when many begin to reflect on accomplishments, focus on goals, and gear up for a fresh slate for the upcoming year. Are you ready to start tallying up your accomplishments? Why not spend some time getting your goals in order and instead of making a list of what you'd like to accomplish, make a list of how you're going to make your mind, body, and spirit Attract-i-cise for you for the entire year? Look at what jazzer-cise, aerobi-cise, and dancer-cise accomplished!

Infinite Infinities

"All of (The Infinite) is present at any and every point within Itself."

-Eest Holmes

The next time you must face your bosss attitude, your mother-in-laws opinion, your slimming bank account or your expanding body, I invite you to look into your own eyes before you take any action. Who you see when you look in the mirror plays a major role in determining how you will fare as you engage in just about any challenging situation.

If something is gnawing at your attention and disturbing your peaceful center, you can begin to shift your state about that condition right now as we move through this brief process together.

You know whats bothering you. Do you shrink when you think about this challenge? If you feel reduced in stature, diminished in power or demoted to a defensive posture in relation to some circumstance in your life, then you have probably forgotten something very important. You have forgotten that you are Infinite.

You can transform your experience and your outcome in this difficult situation by remembering one simple thing. Deep within the outer garb of your body and personality, you are a mystical vortex through which the Infinite Universe expresses itself. Once you blink into this awareness, you inhabit a new set of possibilities. You become co-creator in your life rather than stagnant observer of things already created.

The Smallest Thing

You may think that the Universe is an infinite collection of finite things, a great big bucket of apples and planets, stars and caterpillars. I prefer to think that the Universe is an infinite collection of infinities, and you are one of them (as are the stars and the caterpillars). The shift from seeing yourself as finite to knowing yourself as infinite rocks the boat of possible outcomes. It names you as captain of all the creative potential you can believe in. It sets you free from the canal you had yourself backed into.

We can see evidence of the presence of Infinite Infinities even on the physical plane. Every atom in your body is infinite. Atoms were originally thought to be the bottom line. The smallest thing. Then of course we found the components of the atom. For a while we were content to draw pictures of electrons swirling around protons and neutrons. They were the smallest things. Then we found more subatomic particles.

Particles that arent even particles. The longer we search, the more we find that it never ends. You can always go deeper.

Although you already have this information filed in your knowledge banks, it wakes the sleepy consciousness to hold this ongoing awareness. It is coffee to the hibeating soul-essence to consider that, even physically, you are a conglomerate not of finite smallest things but rather of infinite points of endless deepening.

Like a rose that just keeps blooming or a kaleidoscope that keeps on tuing, this continual unfolding is who you are. Every cell in your body is infinite. Every thought in your mind is infinite. There is no end to your personal infinities and they all swirl back to the one Cosmic Infinite.

From Nothing to Infinity

What does that say about your creative potential? Who is moving the brush across your canvas? By bringing your relationship with the Infinite into your awareness, you empower yourself in the creation of every next moment. You open yourself to the great flow of life-force and you allow the divine breath to breathe itself through you. Here are two steps that will bring you closer to accessing this mystical truth about yourself.

Step 1 Nothing

Close your eyes and consider the smallest thing. Recall that your body is made of these smallest things. Let your mind travel deeper and deeper into the uncharted, dimensionless silence of the smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller thing until you reach a sense of nothing. Take as long as you need to reach this feeling. Sit for a while in the peaceful darkness/light of no-thing. Recall that you are made of infinite points of this.

Step 2 Infinity

In this quiet, pre-creation space of no-thing, feel the softness of your body and your awareness. Feel the fluid nature of your being in this state with no form. This is the blank canvas, the state of infinite creative potential. This is where you can have the thought apple or love or family and bring it into your experience. This is where you can create anything from no-thing. Previous pattes and probabilities have been disassembled and anything is possible. Look deeply into the unformed Infinite and ask your heart what it most desires.

Somewhere In-Between

Lets retu to your boss and your mother-in-law for a minute. Lets remember your bankbook and your belt size. You can use this two-step process not only as a tool for general inner exploration. It can also act as a clarifying agent, a problem-shifting device, a polish that lets your true-self shine through. Bring a question or problem with you into the above process. It will dissolve in step one. In step two it will reconfigure itself into a new possibility. It will reveal a new priority. It will tell you what your Infinite self wants in this situation.

The importance of someone elses attitude or opinion will shrivel. When you include your infinite truth in your day-to-day affairs, you begin to experience the physical universe with its wallets and its scales as a fluid and changing reality. The next time you look in the mirror, invite your Infinite self to join you in your most mundane routines. As you look in your own eyes, see your Infinite nature.

Do You Have the Skills to be a Secret Service Agent

Do you have the necessary attributes to be a successful secret services agent? Do you melt into the background where no one can see you? Do you hide behind someone else? Would you describe yourself as having an incognito life? Are you capable of always putting yourself second? Do you constantly defer to another person? Do people see right through you and ignore you?

Then you have the skills.

You see, as John Reilly, states in the song he wrote for the musical Chicago; you are no more than Mr. Cellophane man.

Mister cellophane
Should have been my name !!!!
Mister cellophane
'cause you can look right through me
Walk right by me
And never know I'm there!

The question is:

Are these the skills you need to have an effective life?
Are these the skills that bring you fulfillment and happiness?
Are these the skills that show off your uniqueness and enable you to fulfill your role on this planet?

In our experience the answer is, no.

So how do you avoid being Mr. Cellophane man?

Simple.

Start by changing your focus of yourself. Rather than look at what is wrong with you and what needs changing. Sit quietly with yourself for a moment and look at your qualities.

Ask yourself:

 What are my strengths?

If you are not sure, or cannot put your finger on your strengths

1. Take a LARGE sheet of paper and write down all the things you like about yourself. Go on write it anywhere on the paper. Make it as large or as small as you like. It doesnt have to be a list.

2. Ask a friend or friends what they like about you. What do they see as your strengths and add it to the paper. Be prepared for a shock because how others see you may not be how you see yourself. Remember dont edit. Add everything they say. 3. Read the list before you go to sleep and add anything new that comes to you in the moing.

 When was I most successful?

Sit quietly in a private space and let your body relax and tu your thoughts inwards, to yourself. Look back into your past, look for all the times you were successful. Look for those times when you felt really confident and well. Dont let your editor distract you. Focus on those good times. The times when you were successful. Enjoy the feeling.

What strengths were you using at this time?

Dont forget to write them, your strengths, on your LARGE sheet of paper.

Keep this sheet of paper and read it before you go to sleep. The last thing you do before you sleep. Read YOUR strengths.

In a short time you will find that your focus does change. You are able to live your uniqueness. You are happy and more fulfilled. You no longer qualify for membership of the secret services. You are no longer Mr. Cellophane Man.

You are someone who has something to offer the world.

Good Luck

Get More Personal

Most folks who know me, know that when people write me I always like to write back and show how much I appreciate the message. I do stay busy, but taking the time to write back is something that's very important to me.

Well friends, the other day I slipped up! (See even I can admit my mistakes... lol. After all that's how we grow isn't it?). You see I received a message from a person that had two parts to it. The first part a very kind note letting me know how much she enjoyed the ezine I offer, while the second part was asking about purchasing a sponsorship ad in the newsletter.

I must have been in a bit of a hurry at the time so I only wrote back regarding the sponsorship part of the note (I am not making an excuse for myself here. Lack of time is simply no excuse when building relationships... professional, personal or otherwise. That's a rule you'll want to take to heart I assure you).

When I first replied I didn't even realize that I had been so hasty about it. Then luckily (I'll explain why it was lucky in a second) the person wrote back to tell me that I had not taken the time to give thanks and that I had only mentioned the sponsorship part in my reply to her.

She went on to tell me that she understood, but did offer the great advice that I should be a bit more personal. You see, while that is exactly how I am virtually all the time, it didn't matter because in this particular circumstance it was my first correspondence with her, and she had no basis for judging me except by this first impression.

You see, she had absolutely no way of knowing that I do try to be personal. That was my job, and yours to portray with the actions we show others. I love the saying, "Your actions speak so loudly I can barely hear the words you say". Wow! how fitting is that to the situation I found myself in?

Looking back, I am so thankful that she took the time to remind me. Had she not I might have slipped up again! (heck I'm only human right? :) You see, folks in our busy hectic day-to-day schedules we all get in a bit of a hurry. Maybe you're selling a product (You are at least selling yourself) and not even realizing it but you walk into a person's office or house and jump right into your sales spiel.

If you do this I am certain that you're missing the boat! People want to know us prior to doing business with us (or extending a friendship to us as the case may be). When we first fill this basic human need we are in a much better place with regard to being able to give them what they need. Believe me, it is a position that is worth putting forth the effort to be in... Your friend in success, Josh Hinds

Dare To Dream Part I

As I watched the athletes in Athens marching in the Opening Ceremony, competing in their respective events and listened to some of their individual stories, one thing stood out. There was one thing that they all shared. Dreams. They all harbored a dream to be an Olympian. Whether or not they win a medal they have lived that dream of representing their country at the Olympic Games. Regardless of nationality, race, gender or faith, we all have the ability to dream and to make those dreams come true. There are men and women of various ethnic backgrounds and faith representing over 200 nations in Athens.

Mankind was made to dream. We are made with potential beyond our wildest imagination and dreaming is a natural way of attempting to live some of that potential. Unfortunately we consistently live far below our capabilities, but it is natural for us to want more and to BE more. Dont you remember when you were a child you played games and pretended to be your favorite super hero or someone else that you admired? That was you dreaming at a very early age. Today if you poll a group of first graders they will all tell you of their desires to be a lawyer, fireman, a nurse and so on. Kids are still dreaming. Unfortunately as we grow older we allow ourselves to be burdened and blinded by the pressures of life. We decided that we had to be realistic and ended up living lives of quiet desperation.

A life without dreams is a life of denial. Denial of our limitless potential and the greatness that is inside each of us. Its a denial of our indomitable spirit and our innate ability to overcome any challenge we may face. A life with dreams is: A life of unbridled optimism. We live in a world that is at times dark and dreary. When we choose to dream, our dreams give radiance to everything by providing hope for something better around the coer. A life of personal power and growth. Having the hope and expectation of something better allows us to operate from a position of personal strength and power. This in tu gives us the courage to explore, stretch and redefine the limits of our full potential. Its one of destiny.

Human beings are designed for success. We dont need to become someone else to succeed; just more of who we are. Dreams allow us to do that and in time to achieve the greatness that lies within. So, be unrealistic. No one has ever achieved anything great by being realistic. I saw a great ad on television that purports that impossible is an opinion. I concur and affirm that being realistic is also an opinion. Opinions change dont they? A few years ago it was deemed unrealistic, maybe even impossible, to have a Jamaican Bobsled Team. Today we know that thats not the case.

Keep on Pushing!

In Your Shoes

Ever wish that you could have the lifestyle of someone you truly admire? Perhaps its the lifestyle of the rich and famous like a movie star, or a singer? How do you think people would react if one day you decided to start acting like a diva extraordinaire, or a megastar actor? My guess is that your family might want to have you admitted for observation. Would the ramification be any less serious if you instead decided to imitate your next door neighbor or business mentor? Perhaps, your family and friends would not rush you to a facility, but Ill bet theyll still be quite puzzled. Unfortunately this type of behavior occurs all the time. Someone realizes that they dont have what they want, so they look at the people who do and decide to copy their actions expecting to achieve the desired result. Alas, they frequently find themselves disappointed.

Graciella has the life. She just got the promotion that Tina secretly coveted, along with the huge office, has a wonderful house in the suburbs, the newest sport utility vehicle for bad weather and a flashy convertible for fun, a successful husband who loves to cook, and two darling children. When Tina compared her life to Graciellas with the second mortgage, the one car that may or may not get her to work, and the cubicle the size of a shoebox, she couldnt help but feel a tad short-changed. She didnt begrudge Graciella the things she had achieved, but desperately wanted them for herself. So, Tina decided that if she wanted a similar lifestyle, she needed to behave in a very similar manner.

Tina became a mini-Graciella. She began to dress like Graciella, mimic her actions, and even eat similar things. At first Graciella was mildly amused, but quickly became annoyed and a tad conceed over Tinas behavior. Tinas metamorphosis did not go unnoticed by her other co-workers, and she suddenly found herself getting the attention she desired, but for all the wrong reasons. Her boss quickly became dissatisfied with her work because he relied upon the unique insight that Tina had brought to the table. After about a month of this troubling behavior he called her into his office. She anticipated the meeting with excitement. She just knew that he was going to offer her the remaining promotion. Why wouldnt he? After all she had been doing exactly the same things as Graciella. Tina could not understand why her boss was not smiling when she walked in, as they had always had an easy relationship.

After Tina sat he explained to her that she had been a shoe-in for the promotion until about a month before. He went on to say that instead of promoting her as he had hoped, he was actually issuing an informal waing because her performance had been seriously sub-standard. He told her that she had lost the promotion to another employee, but that she would have another chance in about a year, providing that her current issue was rectified immediately. Before she left he patted her hand and told her that one Graciella in the office was enough, but they really needed the input, intelligence, and insight that Tina brought to the team. As Tina walked back to her tiny cubicle fighting tears, she realized how creepy she had been behaving. She had willingly abandoned who she was, her unique traits, her quirky sense of humor, and her unerringly sense of intuition for her job. At what cost? She almost lost a job she truly enjoyed, was ostracized from people that she had worked with for years, and had move herself even further from her goals.

There are a number of ways that Tina could have handled the situation, but the most effective way would have been by embracing her uniqueness. Tina lost track of what was working for her and focused on what she wanted that she didnt have.

Tina forgot to embrace the qualities that made her Tina, to put those positive vibrations out into the universe so that those wonderful qualities of hers would attract more of the lifestyle that she desired. Tina got too caught up in falling in line and forgot that marching to her own tune could be just as much fun, and bring success on its own. Success tailored to Tina, the type that is the perfect fit for her because she attracted it to suit her qualities, desires, abilities, and spirit.

Remember to be your own unique self, be it similar to someone else or completely different, just be true to you. That authenticity and honesty is the heart of you, the heart from which your vibrations are unleashed. Honest thoughts, vibrations, and actions will produce amazing results that are so in-line with what you truly desire.
